The Alford family mourns the loss of Zenobia Washington, of Wichita, Kansas. Zenobia went home to be with the Lord on December 25, 2016. Zenobia was born on November 3, 1940 in Clearview, Oklahoma. She retired from Wichita South High School where she taught English.
Zenobia was an alumni of Friends University in Wichita and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She was also a dedicated participant at Alford Family Reunions until her health began to fail.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford who passed away in 2015. Please continue to keep Zenobia’s sons, Jeff (Schalene) Washington; Sean (Lisset) Washington; and Grandchildren in your prayers.
Celebration of Life Services were held on Wednesday, January 4, 2016 at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Wichita, Kansas.
Zenobia is the daughter of Sylvester Clement Alford; Granddaughter of Wesley Dow Alford; and G/Granddaughter of Matthew Solomon Alford. She is also the sister of Sylvester Joe Alford and Patricia Jean.
