After much prayer and supplication our own Benita Bell has announced her call to ministry. On May 17, 2020 via Facebook live with an audience, Prophetess Benita stated that she is no longer running from her spiritual calling and will serve as third-generation minister in the Bell family. During the live testimony she stated, “God has instructed me many times to open my mouth and to teach his word.” The foundational scripture used was Psalms 51:15 which states, "Open my lips, Lord, and my mouth will declare your praise."
Due to Covid-19, she will begin her studies in September at Sisters in Divine Discipleship. She will serve under Pastor John K. Jenkins, at First Baptist Church of Glenarden in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. The formal ordination service will be announced at a later date.
Benita Bell is the daughter of Rev. Bennie Bell, Jr.; G/Granddaughter of Rev. Bennie Bell, Sr.; G/G/Granddaughter of Willie C. Bell; G/G/G/Granddaughter of Lucinda Alford-Bell & Ivory Bell; and G/G/G/G/Granddaughter of Matthew Solomon Alford.
