Amos Alford, Jr.

Our family has suffered a heartbreaking loss. Amos Alford, of Wichita, KS passed away unexpectedly on April 20, 2017.

Homegoing service details for Amos Alford, Jr were held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Wichita East High School in Wichita, Kansas.

Amos was born on September 13, 1966. He worked as the JV boys' basketball coach at Wichita East High School and a security officer at an alternative school in the district. There has been an outpouring of condolences from the entire community because he was deeply loved and touched many lives.

He is survived by mother, Willie "Stella" H. Alford; wife, Nancy Thompson; daughters, Tor'e Alford, Brianna Alford; son, Amos Alford, Jr.; brothers, Darron and Julius Alford; sisters, Sandra, Tracy, Andrea, Pam, Angie and NeNe.

Amos Alford was the son of Amos Alford, Sr.; Grandson of Willie “Cracker” Alford; and G/Grandson Lafayette “Fate” Alford.
