In Loving Memory of Linda Faye Jennings-Barnett
April 26, 1948 – April 11, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved family member, Linda Faye Jennings-Barnett, who was called to her heavenly home on April 11, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Linda was born on April 26, 1948, in Holdenville, Oklahoma, to Sophie Mae Eddington Jennings and Carl Namon Jennings. She was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and wisdom touched everyone she encountered.
Linda united in marriage with Robert Barnett, and together they were blessed with three daughters: Roma, Renita, and Rosalynn. Their journey took them from Southern California to Oklahoma City, eventually planting roots in Plano, Texas. Though their paths later diverged, Linda and Robert remained close friends and co-parents, committed to the love of family above all.
A nurturer by nature, Linda was known for her exceptional talents in the kitchen. Her home was always filled with the comforting aromas of her delicious meals and baked goods. She also found joy in sewing and gardening, crafting beauty in every corner of her life. But nothing brought her more happiness than her six grandchildren, who were the absolute light of her life.
Children of all ages gravitated toward Linda’s kind spirit. Many lovingly called her “Mom,” and she embraced each of them as her own. Her heart had no limits, and her love knew no boundaries.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Hobert, Carl Jr., Harold, Hubert, and Wesley Jennings; and sisters Lola Jennings-Woods, Edna Jennings, and Shirley Jennings.
Her memory will be cherished by her loving daughters, Roma Barnett-Revels, Renita Barnett, and Rosalynn Barnett; and her six treasured grandchildren, Ramiah Revels, Lyndon Barnett, Roya Revels, Malcom Barnett, River Kindred, and Amethyst “Peach” Kindred. She also leaves behind her brothers, Adrian Jennings (Lois) and Edwin Jennings (Marjorie); sister, Glenda Smith (Booker); along with a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Linda was a guiding light, a safe place, and a joyful presence. Her legacy of love, grace, and generosity will live on in each of us. Please keep the Barnett and Jennings families in your prayers during this time of remembrance and celebration.
Linda Faye Jennings-Barnett was the daughter of Carl Namon Jennings Sr. and Sophie Mae Eddington; Granddaughter of Effie & Anderson Jennings; and Great-Granddaughter of Matthew Solomon Alford & Lucy A. Berry-Alford.
