Celebrating Excellence: Congratulations to LaQuinta Daniels

ree

We proudly congratulate our very own LaQuinta Daniels, who was honored for her outstanding community service at the NAACP Vancouver, WA Branch 80th Anniversary Gala & Awards Dinner on November 1, 2025, held at the Hotel Indigo in Vancouver, Washington. LaQuinta was recognized as a 2025 Award Recipient for her exceptional leadership, commitment, and service to her community.

LaQuinta serves as the Director of Restorative Justice for the Clark County Juvenile Court System, where she has dedicated more than 12 years to supporting and transforming the lives of young people. Her roles over the years as counselor, program coordinator, and now director, reflect her steadfast dedication to justice, healing, and community progress.

A proud alumna of Washington State University, LaQuinta earned her degree in Human Resource Development and Business Management. She has also worked as a respite case manager for Morrison Child & Family Services and holds a certification from the Neurology of Equity and Inclusion Cohort. Her work and achievements continue to inspire not just our family, but the broader community as well.

The NAACP’s 80th anniversary celebration was a powerful tribute to courage, community, and an enduring commitment to justice, centered on this year’s theme: “Black Resilience: Celebrating 80 Years of Excellence.” Keynote speaker Vince Evans, Executive National Director of the Congressional Black Caucus, delivered a moving address highlighting what becomes possible when communities move forward together.

In addition to her work with the juvenile court system, LaQuinta also serves on the YWCA Clark County Board, where she continues to lead boldly, confront injustice, and uplift her community. Her work centers on the critical intersections of the criminal justice system, restorative justice, and community collaboration. She leads with both vulnerability and strength, offering insight into how communities can build safer, more connected environments.

Under LaQuinta’s leadership, the Clark County Juvenile Court has reshaped its entire approach to community service, shifting from traditional work crews to a restorative, community-centered model that creates meaningful change for youth, victims, and the community. Through this transformative approach, LaQuinta is helping reshape what justice looks like proving that change truly begins with community.

We celebrate you, LaQuinta. Thank you for your service, your leadership, and your unwavering commitment to justice and healing. You make the Alford family proud.
