Hats off to Taren Patterson who obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work with a minor in Psychology and Communication Sciences and Disorders from Wichita State University on May 16, 2020. Taren graduated magna cum laude; member of Phi Alpha Honor Society; and Vice President of the ZB Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She plans to attend grad school to obtain a Master of Social Work from Wichita State this fall.
Taren is daughter of Charlena Patterson; Granddaughter of Charlene “Shorty” Patterson; G/Granddaughter of Warren “Fred” Alford; G/G/Granddaughter of James Willie Alford; and G/G/G/Granddaughter of Lafayette “Fate” Alford.
