A Historic Milestone for the Alford Family

On July 31, 2025, the Alford family witnessed a proud and historic moment. Our very own

was officially promoted to Colonel in the United States Air Force, a remarkable achievement reached by only 2% of officers. The honorable promotion ceremony was held at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi, inside the Don Wylie Auditorium.

In a touching and symbolic moment, Colonel Storey was pinned by both of her proud parents, Glenda Jennings-Smith and Booker Smith, who were there to witness her ascend to this prestigious rank.

Colonel Storey’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. She holds:

• An MBA in Finance from Touro University

• A Nursing Degree from the University of Central Oklahoma

• Training in Strategic Planning from the U.S. Army War College

Throughout her distinguished career, Colonel Storey has held several key leadership roles, including:

• Commander, 423d Medical Squadron

• Commander, 81st HCOS Squadron

• Chief Nursing Executive, Edwards Air Force Base

She is also a proud and dedicated member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated

The Alford family is tremendously proud of Colonel Storey’s service, leadership, and legacy. We salute you, we celebrate you, and we thank you for your unwavering dedication to our country.
